Owners of Tanos Gelato
The name Tanos carries with it a rich history. It was a term used to refer to the Italian immigrants who arrived at the shores of the Río de la Plata in the late 1800s and early 1900s, bringing with them not only their dreams of a new life but also the cherished art of making gelato by hand. These early Italian settlers, known as “Tanos,” carried their heritage, culture, and passion for delicious food wherever they went. Among them were our ancestors, and this is our tribute.
